My Life is a Laptop

Project: ISD Task Analysis

Annotated Artifact
Competencies Illustrated

Analysis, Collaboration, Evaluation, Technology

These two projects demonstrate my ability to collaborate in a team to create a thorough goal and task analysis, along with correlating performance objectives and assessment items for the assigned instructional material. At least one assessment item was created for each performance objective. The task analysis maps I created for Project 2 were designed with Microsoft Visio Professional 2000.

Content This analysis was completed during the Fall of 2005 as an assignment for EME6635, Design of Online Collaborative Learning with Dr. Allan Jeong.
Conditions
  • Within the first four weeks of the semester classmates had to team up with team members, read the textbook, Collaborative Learning in the Classroom by Johnson, Johnson & Holubec, and work collaboratively to analyze and create a product on two of the chapters.
  • Following Dick, Carey & Carey´s prescribed guidelines from chapters 1 through 7 of the text, The Systematic Design of Instruction, my teammate and I had to produce a goal analysis, map of subordinate skills, performance objectives, and assessment items based on the contents of each assigned chapter from the Johnson & Holubec textbook.
Scope
  • Each project was an original work created for this assignment.
  • The products shown here are the final versions delivered.
  • It is my understanding, project 2 shown here, is being used as an exemplary project for future sections of EME6635.
Role I was one of two team members in this project. In Project One, I was responsible for the performance objectives and assessment instruments while my teammate was responsible for the goal and task analysis. For Project 2, we switched roles and, I worked on the goal and task analysis. The task analysis presented in Project 2 was created using Microsoft Visio Professional 2000. (Team Member: E. LaVoie)
