Portfolio Overview
During the years I managed and coordinated computer training programs and facilitated corporate and higher education computer technology courses, I gained an appreciation for quality training. My interest grew towards promoting effective education, improving human performance systems in business, increasing awareness about the value of efficient performance systems, professional development, and the constructive application of skills and knowledge in the workforce.
In 2006, I obtained a Master´s degree in Instructional Systems Design with a Major in Online Distance Learning from Florida State University. The Master´s program in Instructional Design (ID) afforded me the opportunity to gain the theoretical and product knowledge to set the foundation for my career in Instructional Systems Design which I consider an extension to my prior experience in computer technology education.
Since 2007, I have worked as an Instructional Designer and completed projects for fortune 500 companies in the banking, airline transportation, software, and insurance industries. Currently, I enjoy working in challenging contract projects where I work independently or interdependently, contributing and sharing ideas, designing and/or developing instructional solutions for educational institutions and corporate businesses. When I'm not in the middle of an ID project, I either enhance my skills in web technologies or bake and decorate creative cakes and sweets for family and friends.
This portfolio contains a small sampling of my professional and graduate course projects; each of which demonstrate my capabilities and competencies. Additional samples are available upon request. The project samples contained here include brief descriptions and/or annotated artifacts which specify my skills and abilities in project management, instructional analysis, design and development, technology, evaluation, research, and more. In addition, you will find my Program of Study page containing a list of courses I´ve taken since Fall 2001. These include undergraduate courses in Software Programming and Analysis and graduate courses in Instructional Systems Design; all of which are equally valuable to designing and developing eLearning and web-based solutions.
